Makeup Artist Magazine - Issue #136
Issue 136 is dedicated to the two things that all make-up artists are obsessed with (besides make-up): jobs and education. From our school profiles and odd-jobs feature to teachers’ favorite hangouts, we’ve packed the pages with some cool information and practical tips. Sir John graces this issue with a fresh perspective on classic values—and an exclusive Make-Up Artist magazine photoshoot.
Makeup Artist Magzine - Issue #135
Style and substance. In many ways these two words sum up Issue 135, our Collaboration Issue. While putting together this edition of Make-Up Artist magazine, we were able to connect with many artists on a true artistic level. The exclusive photo feature with Mario Dedivanovic was a special moment for the magazine. Celebrating a long-term collaboration, Issue 135 also highlights our relationship with talented photographer Deverill Weekes. Having collaborated with the magazine for 20 years, our memories reach deep and our respect is ineffable. Go behind the scenes of our tarot photoshoot with Weekes and a talented team of artists. This issue also focuses on the world-class book Gorgiality, with make-up by Georgina Billington. Also, we check in with make-up effects shops Amalgamated Dynamics Inc., KNB EFX Group Inc. Alterian Inc., Kevin Yagher Productions Inc. and MastersFX—still thriving for more than 30 years
Makeup Artist Magzine - Issue #134
Connecting with one another is a vital part of being human. One way that we do this is through art. In our Make-up Around the World Issue we explore this deep connection. This is one of our favorite issues, because it is in the sharing of ideas and artistry that we inspire and provoke more creativity.
Ilise Harris joins us in this issue with a unique photoshoot about Connecting the Dots. Read all about this project based on the tribal markings used by African tribes and their prevalence in today’s make-up world. Our exposé on body painters around the world delves into the living canvas and the growing unity of these artists. Also, did you miss IMATS Toronto? That’s OK, we got you! Follow along, as we reminisce with all the highlights and extraordinary make-ups.
Makeup Artist Magzine - Issue #132
We value the sharing of knowledge and the exploration of creativity, because both are so important in this industry. We also appreciate the dedication and passion it takes to be an educator! That’s why every year we dedicate an entire issue to education and are excited to share this issue with you—for many reasons. First, we wrangled Vlada Haggerty into sharing how she evokes her muse—taking you inside this creative force’s mind! Next we line up brand trainers and discuss their approach and experience with education. Then turn to the topic of teaching abroad, gaining insight form numerous make-up artists exploring the world while educating. Also, did you miss IMATS New York and/or IMATS London? That’s OK, we got you! We reminisce with all the highlights and extraordinary make-ups.
